Display Traffic on Youtube Ads

Hi,

I'm new to Youtube ads and just set up a campaign, however I'm seeing that all the traffic I'm getting is from Google Display for some reason... There is no placement of the 850 that I'm seeing now, that's from youtube. I obviously don't want that, because these placements are super low quality. However it's not possible to "untick" display when checking campaign settings.

Is there a way to run Youtube ads on YT only without having to go through through the crappy Display traffic?

you can add under "placements exclusion" the exclusion "googleadsense_without_youtube.com".
However, it is completely normal for a new conversion tracking event to first go into the display traffic. If your ad isn't optimized for it, Google will soon realize and start sending normal in-stream traffic.

In how many days will Google shift to normal Yt traffic

Hard to say. I have seen it get the wrong traffic for over a week. However, understand that if you are experiencing mainly display traffic, it may also be because there is something in your ad that Google doesn't like, resulting in them serving inferior traffic.
