Dislikes keep my videos from mooning

I have a pretty bad like / dislike ratio. About 1/3 dislikes. I feel like such activity keeps my videos from mooning. Is it smart to disable voting / disable the display of the votes to get the videos back up?
Should I like them with my own accounts?

Mooning: The act of one pulling down their pants and saluting with their cheeks.

If you have so many dislikes, don't you think it may be your content that is causing you not to 'moon'?

It doesn't show doesn't mean it isn't there... It won't make a difference in your ranking

Yeah but I thought it might keep people from disliking since they'd think it would have barely no impact.

Just keep it like that, don't worry about the dislikes in my opinion. It makes you more real.

Yea that's true but when people see you disabled your likes they'll know you have more dislikes than likes

I don't know about other people, but whenever I see someone disable voting, comments, or both on their videos, I think they're hiding something.

If I see a bunch of dislikes, I immediately scroll down to the comments section to investigate the reason why.

Likes/Dislikes Do not have too much effect on rankings so you should not be worried about too much besides you know yourself that the video is controversial so its pretty sure you will find too many users disliking it.
