Discussion XML sitemap problem

i have several problem with my xml in GWT , i generate them with Google XML Sitemap, submit 1.364 link, but it just 97 of them getting indexed. but on search engine, there's 265 getting indexed. waiting for couple of weeks, there's no changed on it, i'm using nginx with php5-fpm, i though there is the problem or maybe i forgot about setting something.

My website also having same problem....
 
After you generate the sitemap, do you submit it in GWT? What does it show there? 97? Go over your sitemap and see if all pages are necessary and unique. Make sure the sitemap is done correct and submit it in GWT, wait for couple of weeks and see again.
 
I normally use xml-sitemaps.com. Its good site for generating sitemap. But if you not getting them all indexed then I am guessing Google just doesn't like some of those pages - Are they all high quality, lengthy and unique content? Maybe something needs improving on them?

Also, if there are discrepancies between WMT and Google search results I would ignore that - often Google's data doesn't tie up completely.

Indeed - the indexed number in Google Webmaster Tools makes more sense if you read it as URLs confirmed by Google Webmaster Tools as being indexed in Google Search Index

At leas in the past you could even prove this quite easily. E.g. by having a fully indexed sitemap and keeping it. Then submit a copy with the same URLs and see it slowly getting indexed :)
 
If you haven't sent the proper sitemap then this can be happen so recreate the sitemap and submit it. It might solve your problem.
If it has been already submitted then you should check the sitemap on the Google.
