Discussion on Equalization levy @6% for Google/Facebook Ads - India

Hi guys,

As you would've probably heard of this new equalization levy tax @6% for all online ads for Indians is going to be in effect from 1st June, 2016, I just want to discuss on how you are preparing for it.

How and where do we have to deposit this tax.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated on this matter.

India’s 6% Equalization Levy applies on ads bought from foreign platforms like Google / Facebook.

Advertiser must:
• Deduct 6% before payment
• Deposit to govt (monthly)
• File annual compliance
