[Discussion]KDP and copyrights

So from my notice so far, about images you download - you can use lots of "free download" sites, and even those who comes with 'demo' since after upload you still has to pictures from the trial with license basically.
even google pics, as long as you edit them enough with photoshop\illustrator ETC.. try not to download top known pictures, or shutterstock and similar sites.

My question so far,
How about cartoon stuff, like minions, tarzan , pirates or the carabian, or such as notebooks or theme for a activity book, would that make a copyright problem?

Would update a bit after digging out more, feel free to teach us so I can update aswell
