Dropshipping seems fashionable now in BHW but what about Copyright when we are doing dropshipping. I read the Yarosss 's Journey (really interesting journey and fully of useful information) and hundreds of niches which people are passionate came to my mind. I will give some examples regardless that they can be saturated.

  • Game of thrones
  • Star Wars
  • Dragon Ball

Yarosss says that the only problem is when you are using a Trademark in the name of your domain name or your brand logos which seems a bit strange at least for me. So, I open this thread to discuss about copyright infringiments and dropshipping. Hope we can come to some conclusion.

Yes, I am also very curious about this. On websites like aliexpress you find tons of NBA gear as well, always wondering how they plan to get away with stuff like that.

Some actually have licenses to resell, most of them don't.

Some are just waiting for X company to break down their doors asking for their permission uses and if they don't they're probably getting C&D (At the lightest penalty).

It becomes a problem for you because you're the store owner (assuming you're on shopify or w/e platform) and you're promoting said fake copyrighted items. So if someone sends your URL to one of the guys who own it, they could come after you instead and take some serious action.

Some people made serious money with that stuff back then before eCommerce boomed. Some made it unscathed, some didn't. Just part of the luck based law avoiding situations. Don't fall for the trend. ((Not to mentioned, lots of that stuff is saturated now.))

you cannot use a tradmark in a domain name or any logos. you can use images to sell goods as most dropshippers supply images

You can purchase a license to sell almost anything. I was in the eCom academy course the other day and you can do it right from there platform for a fee.

Who sells this licenses? The company owner of the copyright or there are specific sites to buy it?
