Discrepancy in following numbers

G'day everyone,

I'm warming up some Instagram accounts and I have them set to follow a very small amount of accounts per day using Mass Planner.

One of the accounts has followed 230 accounts (according to the total following count in MP tools tab), but when I open up the account it says it's only followed 80, which is also what it says in the social media tab of MP.

The other accounts are similar, followed 160, but only counting 67.

There's one account, who is also liking a photo of each account they follow, and that has followed 170 and has counted 170.

Does anyone know what causes the difference in the numbers? Are some accounts not counted?

Probably people who have private pages? When I follow manually on IG if the page is private it sends a request to follow, and only shows me following them once they accept the request.

That'd be it. I thought I had all the profiles set to not follow private users. Nope. It was just the account liking photos.

Yes, I think so too that it's about the private accounts.

I just set a couple other accounts to not follow private users, so I'll get double confirmation tomorrow.
