Discovered a New Keyword...

Hey guys

I have just discovered a new keyword that confuses the hell out of me. It looks like I have hit the jackpot. I need your help to see if I actually did.

The problem is that i am confused between different tools.

Google Keyword Tool estimates the monthly traffic to be 90500 monthly.
The Big G! Traffic estimator estimates 28-34 clicks daily

But Market Samurai only estimates a daily traffic of 19. This makes me feel very uneasy.

BTW the total number of results for this keyword is only 13.300 (exact).

Also The total number of pages that have these terms in the title is 183,000.

What do you think is the right move here. MS or G! Keyword Tool?

I cannot decide anymore. Please help..

Google Keyword Tool is for Google, so if it says 90k+ go for it
just expect to get around 20k to 30k because no keyword tool is accurate

But then again is your decision...

Did you use broad, phrase or match in Google? I'd believe Google first.

I used broad. Ok I guess that makes the difference. With exact it gives me a traffic of 590.

And for broad match the number of sites is 643,000.

Do you think it is possible to rank on the first page easily.

Well That explains why I am paying more for adwords these days. I was using the same method a for sometime.

There is well so much to learn. I wish i had spent my 16 odd years studying internet than the shakespeare and Einstein. lol

BTW What factors do you consider before you decide if you can rank on page on 1 or not for the broad category.

The broad results are accurate, it's just that broad results calculate search results for different combinations of your keyphrase. For example. A broad search for 'cheese and monkey soup' will calculate all the searches done for that exact phrase, plus 'cheese monkey and soup', ' soup monkey cheese and'... etc. etc. A broad search will also calculate searches for your keyphrase plus any other keywords. For example: 'can i get pregnant from consuming too much cheese and monkey soup'. Definitely use exact match, because when that is chosen google's external keyword tool will calculate searches for your exact keyphrase only.

I do know the basics of SEO but I too target exact just because broad may be too difficult.

Just wondering if anyone who targets broad matches and ranks well for it as well, may want to say something about his methods.

I have finally decided not to go for the keyword so let me put it on here, in case anyone of you want to go for it.

"hypnosis loss weight"

Let me know if you go for it and what was the result.

I would reconsider and take the keyword out because you may change your mind later on.

90k searches for this term + its long tails.

If you are position 1 for this term you won't get anywhere near 90k
