disavow links effect on local seo?

my site got hit by unnatural link warning by google. organic rank dropped bad but local rank stayed the same. I am currently removing links and getting disavow file together to submit to google. I am wondering after I disavow will it drop my local seo rank? My local/google maps rank is still good and dont want to mess it up by disavow...thoughts?

You got warning means some links are suspicious from google point of view so you need to remove low quality links or disavow, these will create problems in the long run.

If your site completely depends on local traffic then wait for few weeks to notice any ranking changes locally. If you see rankings going down then you can start removal process slowly - remove max. possible links and then apply disavow links.

Local search is maps thing so that's why you still remain there but you won't be found for any relevant keywords, only by your name.
