I created backlinks in versions without and with www.
And Google showed a version with www, so it redirected to that.
Two days after the redirection, traffic increased slightly, but the site was removed from the main keyword.
There were no manual actions confirmed by gsc.
Is it a good idea to disable redirection in these cases?

Wait for some more time & then decide. Mostly this kind of changes on the rankings will happen when you update the links and it will be back I think.

It can happen when we are distracted. Wait for a while. But if you see a significant drop in rankings, you need to disable it and recheck again.

No it's not a good idea.

This is drastic move ans SERPs need to assimilate.

Thank you for the answers. I'll wait a little longer.
