disabling comments - negative effect on YT ranking?

I'm getting pretty good at ranking vids in YT but these fucking comments are sooo anoying! I'm in PPD and I offer real download because I used to hate it when I was a PPD victim myself in the days that I didn't know better. Guess they ae competitors that are leaving the neg comments but doesn't matter.. want to get rid of them because they are killing my CTR to the landing page!

anyway.. the easiest solution would be to disable comments but would this affect my vid rankings? advice is appreciated

I had one video where I had to approve comments but I just didn't approve any and it didn't seem to have much of an effect.
Although, I have read in several threads that comments ARE an important factor in ranking.
Would be interested in hearing other people's ideas on this.

If anything I would have them on approve, it takes time to manually do that but comments are a must.

Ask yourself, would you trust a vid like yours if the comments are disabled?

Just put it on approve and this way they cant fk with you anymore

I think you should have your video comments set to moderated and put your own positive comments via other accounts to make it look more like the real deal. I wouldn't disable them personally.

Yes they a one of the ranking factors in youtube to get a rank.
But not necessary,
I too have a video which is comments disabled but having a good rank in YT.

nope..comments dont matter...only keywords and title and viewcounts matter..i would advise ya too enable "Comment Approval system" instead of 'killing the goose itself for not laying good number of eggs' i.e. disabling the comments altogether for not getting too many of em.

allright guys thanks for the feedback. gonna do it this way: submit the vid, add costum comments and than switch to moderated comments so no new (real) ones can come in. let's see what yt thinks about this
