So basically my account was disabled 1 week ago and after thousands of appeals I feel that talking to robots won't ever solve my problem.
Long story short: my page was disabled with the message "Your account was disabled because you pretended to be someone else". I DIDN'T!!! It was a fan page for a singer and I even specified in my bio it's me, my name, who posts and wrote "my personal page for [artist name] held by [my name]".

I appealed like 300 times. Has anyone got their account back with bring disabled for violating the rules (even though I didn't)? I guess reporting from haters got my acc disabled.

Any 2018 working solution would help. I had goddamn 20k followers and I'm a huge fan.

It's extremely difficult to recovery a banned IG account - especially if they believe you've violated their TOS.

I came upon a theory someone mentioned somewhere. Someone said that after some time (3 weeks/1 month/3 months/6months) almost all accounts can be recovered because they pass the "black list", so they argue that instagram basically stores the data about an account for a short period of time, then they erase the data. So basically the account remains hanging disabled. Did anyone happen to find this theory true?
I'm kinda desperate and furious by this. I hadn't done anything wrong.

i have also created a instagram account for a famous personality but i see there are several fan pages with over 3 lac followers .How did your account banned ?
did you posted some spammy links ? may be some one reported you ?

Everybody says that to get your account back you have to spam them with emails and do whatever they ask for. Personally I haven't had luck doing this but I gave up after the 5th try. Just said RIP to my 280k page lol

No, no spammy links, no links in my bio.
It is a ridiculous and incredible situation in which I am. Apparently there are some "fans" of this artist who cannot understand fans have the right to hold fan pages for an artist. So they have been hating on me for a long time, reporting me for "using the name". Believe me, it sounds unbelievable in our century but this is how it is. How on earth am I supposed to call my page? "Knitting page"? Isn't it obvious I have to call it somehow to include the name of THAT artist? I explained very well in my bio who holds the page as to not let any less smart person imply I was the artist himself.

What on earth is a artist without a strong fan base? Everything I posted was full of positive feedback and shared photos and updates on this artist's shows because no one else does and no one else cares to update his official pages with any news.

They have gone to report me to this artist's mother (I know, laugh, but it's the truth), even though this guy is in his 30s and no mommy should interfere in his life at this point, and she, I think, reported me to IG for impersonating (she has been harassing me for a long time sending me messages like "I don't think he [the artist] needs to be promoted by anyone else. If you don't stop we will close all your pages), because I received an answer from IG to one of my appeals which said "Someone else has submitted a Government ID that also matched the info on this account". So IG basically took that report, my guess, and no matter how many times I replied back that it is a FAN PAGE and obviously if I send them my ID Card it won't match because the name of the page was not my name. Even though it said in the bio "Page administered by Alexey (that is me). How was it possible for IG to overlook this? It's beyond me. And all I get is robotic answers on all reports, no human to talk to.

In 1 week since this happened, I think my e-mail has replied to their robotic answer for like 300 times. Nothing changed...

My 80k account has been disabled around 3 weeks ago. Did everything they asked for and only answer I receive is sth. like: "It seems that you violated our terms and therefore we disabled it."
No reason why, no responses to my other messages...
Losing hope in this case

My 300k+ account got banned randomly once.

I sent them an email asking what I did wrong, they asked me to send a picture of me holding a piece of paper with my username+a code and the next day I got an email saying sorry for any inconvenience we have unbanned the account.

So my advice just keep emailing, you have nothing to lose.

Can someone explain to me why it seems like only huge accounts, (50k+) get banned? ( like one hit perma ban hammer stuff, not typical spammy bans or botting bans) I mean Its making me worried. I am almost at 10k without any problems! Wtf do I neeed to do to make sure I'm not suddenly banned at 50-300k for no reason lmao.

I'll give you a internet cookie...

stupid fans dont mind their own business . i am also worried now .Just started farming IG account for famous hollywood actress . Hope her fans do not report my page . Also i think you need to move on now.May be you can create fan page for another top artist in similar niche . Make sure that artist does not have that crazy mother .;)

I kept on reporting for 1 week and no change. I will keep on insisting and if anything changes I will tell u. For reference in case anyone faces the same problem.
The issue is that once u report and get the photo request to reply on email and they get back to u with "it seems your account was disabled for bla bla" then you can send 200 more reports and no answer will be given again. This, I think, it is because once your email is registered on their reporting system, you will not receive anything else on that email, no matter how many times you report.

I had to send a picture of me and a piece of paper with details on which it looks like you have done, I believe I sent it twice just because I was impatient haha but it did take me around 3-5 working days to get my account back.

Where to ask for the unban? Any email or link?

I am facing a serious issue. I haven't got my account back yet so I opened a new one, for the same artist, specifying fan page etc. In 3 days I got to around 750 followers and suddenly it was suspended!!! On thr exact same reason "pretending to be someone else". I swear this is not normal, some people are hunting down every page I open to shut it down in 2 days. Is this harrasment legal?
