I was in the same position a while ago, everyone was saying the very same thing but there's no set of instructions on how to go about it. The support just replies you briefly and nothing else works.

To the OP, I don't think there's any fix. Someone asked me to pay them more than $3k. I don't think it's worth it anyway.
