First off - I am amazed how much content is on this site. I've been reading as fast as my tired eyes will allow for and taking vigorous notes. I've also got a couple threads bookmarked that I'm going to in the very near future -- one by meathead is just too good to pass up.

As I'm looking around though, I thought I'd ask:

I had a roommie move out and go across country recently. He left a bunch of junk behind and basically told me to keep it. Among the things is an old external hard drive. Being a naturally curious creature, I checked it out. He has something like five gigs of "amateur" self-shot style porn. College age girls posing in mirrors and such.. A few of these women I actually know to be ex girlfriends of his, but apparently this was a fetish for him.

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum section, but any good way to monetize on this? I'm thinking maybe some kind of image blog with adsense traffic or whatever? I'm not web-savvy enough to put up a full subscription type site, and I imagine that there's an awful lot of competition for that anyway.

Any thoughts, or is this not worth worrying about?

i dont want to ve rude or anything but everytime i saw a thread like this , one thing comes to my mind

why in the world would someone upload pics and videos of people who you dont even know and that too porn pics ?you might disturb someone's normal life for mere dollars -- Just think if some of ur friend do this to you how would you feel ?

if i was you i will never ever think of doing such thing but in the end its all ur decision and will , so do whatever u like with them
 
I don't think it is right to intrude on people's privacy like that. You could be ruining people's lives. But if you are going ahead, then better make sure you are well within the laws.

Fair enough. I have a sneaking suspicion most of these were culled from torrent sites anyway, and thus have been floating around on the internet for some time now. I wasn't particularly worried about 'privacy' - I wouldn't have been doing any damage that hasn't long past been done.

That said, it probably is more of a hassle than it is worth. I just thought I'd see if there was anything useful to be done with it here before I tossed them. Leave no stone unturned, and all that.

Your best bet is to wipe the drive , then use it for back up.

without permission - you are playing with fire.

not knowing all the info of the people. that could get you popped just having the drive.
 
I'm sure many of you clicked OP's thread hoping to see dirty pictures, and since he didn't deliver I figured I would.

Since im about answers and not bullshit i'll tell you one way you can monetize the pictures its not a big money maker by any means but it can make you a little extra cash, you could probably re-use some of them too. Anyway I saw a method around here where you use "imagetwist" and "adfly" with a twitter account. This works better if you have more followers but I did a quick image twist test on my main account with just around 40k followers and made $.05 with one image / one tweet. You will want to grab the "tweetadder" + crack or the free version of tweet attacks and follow a bunch of users then unfollow the non followers rinse and repeat while posting the image twist links, some ways to get more views would be to use hash tags like "#SmashOrPass" or something like that to entice users to check out the links. Like I said above this wont make you a lot of money but will definitely get you a little cash....
 
Hm. That's a thought. That said, I'm thinking I may just want to wipe the drive anyway. As previously said, without knowing the actual ages/identities of all the girls involved, I may be asking for trouble.

HOWEVER.

Has anyone had any luck with nonpron image blogs or the like? For..random example - say a blog targeted towards women's shoes, or costumes, or whatever. Something that people might follow. I imagine that content generation would be fairly simple.
 
Shit, I would use those pictures to promote my dating sites :). Nothing like a $40 dollar sign up. Get 3 sign ups a day, I could be a rich man ;)
 
Get a Tumblr bot and post them with affiliate links for amateur porn or dating sites
