Directory Link Building

I have a question that I'm looking for some advice on. I'm a lawyer who is in one of these lawyer directories. They are trying to upsell me on a premium package to have my name listed first. The problem, however, is that the directory has a super strong DR, but not very many backlinks build to the individual page. So its only sitting at like 7-9 on the SERPs.

I was wondering if it might be worthwhile blasting a bunch of links to that page to make it rank higher. If it ranks higher, then it would absolutely be worth having the number 1 spot. I'd get first pick of a bunch of cases and wouldn't even need to rank my website higher than it. And people generally trust these directories over just randomly going to a bunch of lawyer websites.

It really depends. Blasting backlinks to a page won't make it rank #1 for all keywords. It might not even make it rank #1 period.

Once you get around to spots #1 or #2, what really sets sites apart is CTR. For directories like this, you might have a chance is someone is searching "employment lawyers in pennsylvania" or something to that effect. Someone looking for a directory, essentially.

But for something like "wrongful termination lawyer near me", justia might not rank as high because someone is looking for something very specific, not just a directory.

Plus, you'd have to spend a ton of money on links. Getting 10,000 GSA links really isn't going to do much.

Also, look at your analytics. How many leads are you getting from Justia?

All of that is much appreciated. The target keyword is in the easy range so not sure how many links would be needed. Think RD 11, according to Ahrefs.

The directory only has four backlinks built from four domains.

I think I could see results from just a moderate amount of links.

I don't think you'll get the results you want, but you can try.
