DirectMail - Letter vs. Salespage WSO-Style

Will it look like scam or crapadverts when I will send them a letter in WSO salespagelooking? Is a normal letter better? What would you do?

I am curious about this too. Good question.

a WSO definitely sounds more appealing to me (or internet marketers in general).
But i am not sure how an offline average-joe will see it.

I'd use the copyrighting style of a sales page (such as WSO) for the text as this is more appealing, but use a cleaner layout for a physical letter so it looks more like a well written personal sale letter rather than an ad.
