It's only risky if you don't do it properly. Ask for permission first, anyway. Last time I decided to do this the vendor never answered my message and I did it without explicit permission. Didn't have any trouble.
assuming you are talking bout clickbank then yes you can. Some of the vendors now realized that and offers a direct checkout link for affiliates. Go to their affiliates resources page and you will find the link.
