Direct linking to Clickbank on YSM?

I can't find any good information about whether it is still allowed to link directly to a CB hoplink from Yahoo PPC. Some people say they are doing it with no problem, others say they were banned. Anyone have any advice? Might it be better to use a URL shortener? And could you enter any domain name for the display URL, or should it be one registered to you? I am thinking about just registering some domains and creating my own redirects and/or landing pages, especially since I know I should be collecting emails first. But I would still like to know if it is possible to start by direct linking using YSM because it would be easiest to test. Any advice appreciated.

That depends. For your Buy and Where to buy keywords direct linking works great. Im doing it for there keywords on YSM.

I keep hearing that but how do you do that if your destination and display URL's need to match? Anyone care to explain?

In your destination URL you can simply put your aff link and display URL can be anything it doesnt matter what matter is the link for destination URL !

and also you don't get banned unless the landing page is relevant to what you are promoting, after all the quality of your landing page also does matter!

No, in Adwords, the display URL and destination URL must match. I had several ads turned down because of that a while ago. I no longer use Adwords because they suck and hate internet marketers now.
