Wanted to know what makes more sense
1. Diverting traffic to Amazon directly
or
2. Create an amazon e-store on mydomain.com/shop and divert traffic from product review on the blog to shop and when a product is added and when a user checks out, it is automatically added to the amazon cart and the user can go ahead and make a purchase there

What makes more sense?

Amazon directly, definitely. When you market a blender, yet sell avionics for a Cessna, then you will see why.

Just sign up through their affiliate program and you can directly promote the product with affiliate link and you don't need to create a site.
