I'm trying to dilute the optimized anchor text from blog networks for one of my sites. I thought of building web 2.0 properties with generic contextual links but I'm wonder if doing manual blog commenting on relevant d0f0ll0w and nofollow blogs will work just as well for diluting anchor text? The anchor on the blog comments will be random names

Yeah, the blog commenting will also do the work, but better use both methods to have a diversity of backlinks

Mix other links in there aswell like wikis social bookmarks etc etc.

Just try to make it diverse.

Try to get as much diversity into the link-type as possible, and use URL/Domain/brand anchors too; as these look very natural.

The main difficulty with dilution, is

1) getting the volume of links required to stick/index/matter, and
2) not creating too high a link velocity with all that link-building if you previously had a low one

Check out our in-depth article here:

Sounds like a plan. thanks boys

Not just blog comments. They're by far the cheapest, but spread out the links. Don't go with regular terms like 'buy now' alone. Google knows that also. And get a strong internal backlinking structure going. Should be good :) All the best!

You can also use blog networks to dilute the anchors but don't forget to diversify other types of links as well ;)
