Hey guys,
I managed to get a link onto a website which, according to my analysis, is somewhat of an authority site (domain authority of 82). The only way I managed to get the link onto the site, however, is by doing a link exchange - they auto crawled my site before approving the link to make sure their link on my site existed. I know link exchanges are no good, so I removed the outbound link to their site from mine as soon as I was approved.
The only issue is that there's literally hundreds of other outbound links in this part of authority site, as anyone can sign up to it. My question is thus: does this mean that whilst it is beneficial to have this (do-follow) link, the benefits are greatly reduced because there's so many outbound links to other websites diluting the link power?
Thanks!
