Does DO allow blackhat sites?
They don't. If your website receives a DMCA, they'll cut you off in no time. No fooling around. I've learned that a few years ago, although I'm not BH it was for a stupid icon (which didn't even have CR on it) Don't even try it with DO. Besides that, it is a good service.
Don't know as I've never used amazon aws, all I know is that I've been using DO for years and I'm happy with it. From what I've seen price wise, DO is a better choice then aws. Prove me wrong, and I'll consider switching

Tres: many good decent shops do not accept traffic from DO IPs as no good only scanners SQL-injectors and similar freaks
Finally - DO is a dead cow, outsourced to some remote villages in Middle Earth (Peshawar etc) with very angry kids to reply
There are 1000s of good decent professional hosters to work with, while DO is one night stand - "deploy-play-kill"

It's pretty clear that you have no idea what you're talking about, forget what I've said about DO, but if you search this forum DO has a very good reputation.Like or not that's what it is. Last but not least, if you have had a bad experience with them it must have been related to BH or something like that, I was very clear that they are great for legit WH websites, anything else, you're asking for troubles and their service is NOT for you.

Sorry mate, I stay on my experience - its a garbage cheap-a** VPS which is being / should be avoided by any good minded person or as you mentioned "legit WH websites".
And obviously you have not enough knowledge on this business or simply somehow related to ref.% - IDK - however your misleading comment might damage others people decision on which provider to choose. Educate yourself on why DO is a stinky dump, main reasons I set earlier.
What's obvious is that NOT every host will host your sick 'sexually explicit material' I'm not saying if this is right or wrong, the point that you don't get is the fact that some like DO don't agree with you and will block/ban websites like yours left and right. And rightfully so. According to their standards, you have your sick standards, and they have theirs. How about that? Democracy if you ask me, but I'm pretty sure that's something you're NOT familiar with.
Another thing that you don't get is that different countries have different STANDARDS, and you CAN NOT impose your sick underground Thailand's standards on them. As simple as that. If it doesn't work for you, move on to something else. Host your website in Thailand, how about that ... I guess that won't work for you because ... well, you know why. Just because DO have kicked you out, that doesn't mean that they are garbage. If you ask me what's garbage ... I'm pretty sure you know what I would say...

Stop mumbling about crap you have no idea about and go troll to some hate group or some Fox for a change,

Sorry, but @Sardosa is right. DO is meant to setup-play(test)-kill and then move your thingy somewhere else.
Lot’s of reasons to not use DO for permanent hosting of your site(s).

The fate of this one-of-the-coolest startups is pretty sad. Yes, it was a great commercial idea/project of so-called "instant droplets". Yes, it was very cool to be able to switch between platforms while testing your app almost instantly, and yep, kids made quite sweet bucks. However, things went wrong with many issues later and from "Hey, its a good idea" became another "shit-hole nest of script kiddies"
I used DO for about 4 years from their beginning and can say they "De-volve" instead of "evolve" so took my shops and stuff away from them about a year ago.
The mere fact every man and his dog is selling vouchers for DO, means it's not priced out of reach of spammers etc, yet they're doing the correct thing by limiting the type of stuff people host there.
As mentioned above, they're great to use as a test bed and see how the site looks and performs but don't rely on them being the main host to use.

They do not offer what you want. Their instances are meant for people that know about servers. At that price they can't be offering hand holding support for someone who doesn't understand basic systems. There are plenty of other places that provide what you need - just not DO.

And I never liked how they distributed the CPU slices. To me it always felt DO was stuffing as much “VPS’s” onto a server as possible, just like GD does with their “shared” hosting.
And then there are the noisy neighbors, bad ip reps, and lots of other factors...
But you explained everything already in a concise manner, so no need for me to repeat the same.
