This 2020 gonna the best year i guess

I"m gonna start a journey after 5 years of wasting my time for nothing

Little about me I belongs to well settled family where money is not a big problem even i don't need to work for any one. But i wanna live my own previously i was a crypto trader i have invest some good and cash out all the money when it was boom in 2018 after that i have stopped everything and enjoying myself with friends and parties

Now the real story suddenly I'm into crisis i have zero money now previously i used to make some good money like 3-5k/Monthly now I'm almost zero since 3 months I'm doing offline job which pays me $250

I tried hard to do the job for consistency its been 3 months now i have to start do something

My goal : Make atleast 1k$ a month

I dont have much connections so am gonna offering free services for start up companies in my area
I would like to offer my services without taking single penny I'll create a portfolio for big projects
and i can get more network so later on i can charge if i get a client who pays me $200/ month for maintaining their business promotions thats enough to make $1k per month later on I ll get high pay clients

I'll keep updating this project

My Investment
$200 for domain and unlimited hosting
Virtual Space $50 per month
fb ads for lead genaration $10 a day
cold calling & Email Marketing gonna do JV with friends who likes my approach

Wish me best mostly i ll start journies and end up in middle coz of my laziness but this time its gonnna be different gonna give my best effort

no such thing as unlimited hosting.

you're ethier paying over the odds for what you need or you'll be disappointed in a couple of months.

No no no no no no.

This is not how you build a successful company.

Offering free services just puts you at the bottom of the food chain. A desperate guy with no experience, no value and no clients. Don't do it!

Forget fb ads and the unlimited hosting crap. You don't need ANY of that.

Business is ALL perception.

Use that money to get yourself a nice suit and go out and visit businesses.

You are an elite agency providing top notch services for companies.

You have a team at your disposal.

GET MONEY. GET MORE MONEY.

Then go find a team with that money.

Then you fulfill the orders and repeat.

No successful business wants anything to do with some guy offering free stuff. And excuse the harshness, but I'm trying to give you a reality check here. Only losers who are struggling will latch onto your free services, and they will drain you and make you their bitch.

Get some CONFIDENCE. Only confidence will net you money. Walk into businesses looking like the man, talking like the man, being the fucking man. People will throw money at you. Businesses will get behind someone who comes across as having their shit together.

And set your goal to $100k/mo, not $1k/mo.

The formula is fucking simple.

1) Be a super confident bastard who's ready to take on the world.
2) Go out and get clients. Pick up the phone and go into businesses.
3) Take their money.
4) Use their money to hire the best
5) Do an amazing job.
6) Repeat.

There's enough cheap shit out there. Don't be afraid to ASK for money. Ask for a lot of it. You are providing a top 1% level service, and there are people out there that will pay for that. If some agency asks me for $200/mo for an SEO campaign I know they are basically just scammers. If they ask me for $5k/mo and talk about site architecture, high quality content and getting lots of good contextual links, then I know they are serious.

Why would you ever even think about creating a business and never taking a big penny.
Portfolios mean jack shit. Companies buy from you because of subconscious perception that you are someone that will get shit done.

All this without any reference is not possible. Its easy to write all this things which you read in books. But real world dont work so. First what they will ask will be "Show me your portfolio, show me your clients list, etc"
Nice suits is not enought bro...

you are right bro, here in my country they always ask for your past works and some don’t even end up paying enough for what they need!

Op your plan is nice and you have made me make up my mind about Facebook ads as a lead gen here in my country, $10 ain’t too much if I can get clients paying me $100 monthly. Start small and grow, anything rushed doesn’t work out well

I can second @splishsplash ’s post from my own personal experience. Portfolios don’t matter as much as a ‘trial run’ where you prove your worth. You can continue building a portfolio and chasing pennies or you can step up to the plate.

I've never walked into a company and they've asked me for references. Ever.

If you know how to sell and how to present yourself then you are leading the conversation. Their perception of you is that you are a leader. They just assume you know what you're doing.

In the real world of poverty, yes, this is how it works and people can't make money. In the real world of business, when you know how the game works all you need is a suit and confidence.

trial run still means working for free, as some may not still pay when you are done

No no no no no no.
I know this is not the way to do business but here i have to get portfolio at present which is desperate to get high ticket clients. If i directly approach them they don't even see what i am capable of .
Anyway thanks thats really good tips i ll follow few

If they’re asking for a free trial run, you don’t want to work for them. That’s why we have contracts.

It's because of how you present yourself.

If you walk in with a suit and you're a bumbling idiot then they'll ask you for references.

You must have very high self-esteem.

Literally NO ONE will ask for references/a portfolio on the first meeting unless they doubt you and are just humoring you.

If they do ask, it would be around meeting 3-4, and because YOU are the boss. You are the fucking commodity, not them. They're lucky to get in a room with someone like you. (If you aren't thinking like this you fail), you tell them you work confidentially with the businesses that you're running campaigns for and remind them that they wouldn't want to work for a company who needs to disclose private client campaign information just to impress their next client, and you ask them to assess the proposition based on the merits of what you present to them for their own unique business requirements. You can then be a little cheeky and tell them that if they do absolutely require to see a portfolio, then there are a myriad of small struggling agencies who will be happy to display their portfolio of free work they've done for other businesses. If they don't accept then kick them out and move on, they weren't a serious client.

Wow better way to think of it

I didn't say it was easy. You'll fuck up dozens, but if you approach 100's, by business 100, you'll be confident. If you fail, who cares, walk out with your head high and try again. After you've given the speech about client confidentiality 20 times, you'll say it with more confidence.

And the thing is. It's true.

You walk into a top law firm and ask them for references or a portfolio and they will laugh at you and send you on your way.

You shouldn't really be talking about your other clients. When you're high-end your clients won't want you using their name willy nilly.

They don't want their competitors knowing their marketing strategies.

And I'm reluctant to say, because you DO NOT NEED TO, but if you really want a portfolio, then go line up 5 top contractors in your field. Again, PERCEPTION, you are a player and you are expanding, you have a thriving business. You then ask that contractor for some examples of their work, and there you go. Do that with 5-10 of them and there you go. Your portfolio.

And when I say top contractors, I fucking mean top guys. Don't go find people on upwork. Find the best, so that when you walk into a business and want $10k/mo, you know you have the expertise to back it up. There is MORE money at the top.

Hi, I am pretty much love your idea but I think you should try with both free & trail ways to do a split test to see which works well in long run. I am ready to assist you for free of charge ( to build my portfolio as well bcz I am in SEO since 2012 but not much active) with any help related to SEO, Lead Collecting, Email ( not an expert), Google ads etc. Thanks & All the best for your journey.

- PS: The guy in the suit

By the avatar, he is congruent with the advice :p

I agree with him, appearances are a big deal in the agency world, this is why I'm completely leaving it.
Not willing to carry the official slave© uniform.
And don't forget an iPad and a Mac for the meetings.

The purpose shall be wearing a worn robe with the ones that will give you the big moolah, as the ultimate sign of freedom :)

What I don't understand if one is near of being free, why would prefer to enslave for the sake of it?

I love wearing a suit. Even when I work at home I still put my suit on. I only wear a tie when I'm going out, but a suit to work always. Even at the weekend. You feel different when you wake up, shine your shoes and put your suit on. Think of it as your suit of armor, not slaves robes. A 3 piece suit is the modern day equivalent of a knight's full plate armor.
