I’m a digital marketing consultant with a heavy background in the math side of things (search, sem, cro, perf reporting, automation).
While I feel like I’m solid across the board on the technical and performance fronts, social is the thing I actively stay away from. That said, that needs to change yesterday. I’m here to level up quickly in regards to what's out there for social media sentiment analysis / response management both black and white.
I'm familiarizing myself with the big players right now (brandwatch, meltwater, sprinkler, talkwalker, etc), but at first glance, I'm pretty certain these platforms are not going to be able to support the scale I'm going for. I'm happy to be wrong, but in a previous life when doing recruiting, tools like LinkedHelper were better than any of the big names tools, and more importantly, didn't ask questions. You risked your profile to do things quickly and effectively, but the upside outweighed the risk. BHW put me on to that tool years ago in addition to a bunch of reputable backlink providers so I figure this is likely the best place to start on this.
All this to say, happy to be here, and if you have any tools off the top that you think fit the bill for large scale, automated sentiment response/engagement, I need to get acquainted ASAP. If you have any questions regarding specific use case, let me know!
EDIT: Adding my mental to-do list here so anyone can jump in if they're experience applies...
- Mass account acquisition across multiple platforms (fb, x, insta, etc)
- Tooling to scrape users, ugc, tags, etc (currently have access to a talkwalker account)
- Tooling to perform or automate certain actions based on the above (respond, repost, submit reports, etc)
