Difficulty with Adsense Approval

YMYL = Your Money or Your Life
This refers to any niche that could be detrimental or harmful if the information provided is unsound. Google doesn't want to rank a financial advice site if people would lose their savings by following the recommendations. Health and Finance are YMYL niches.

EAT = Expertise Authority and Trustworthyness
A vaguely defined term to mean how much authority Google gives you when determining how much of an expert you are on the niche you are in. Google would prefer an oncologist over a new age guru when ranking a site on cancer therapies.

The more YMYL Google considers a niche, the more EAT Google will require as part of the ranking criteria.

I used a 3 column magazine looking theme. My previous theme was very simple nav at top, then articles listed vertically. The more complex 3 column theme includes alot of features like recommended posts, facebook like box, tag cloud, sub tags. In general the site looks much more like a proper editoral site with multiple categories and navigation etc. This change as per Mr. Professor's tip is what finally got me approved.

Thanks for the explanation. As this is a young domain I guess it has 0 EAT. However I am not concerned about ranking, at least in terms of search results. My traffic will be paid traffic anyways and already confirmed with my traffic source that my site is good to go for traffic. However I need adsense for this, so I would assume YMYL and EAT are still important for adsense approval as well? And no amount of tweaking my content, including links to scientific studies to back up my claims will help me until I get better EAT?

I think you might get approved but only get low CPM revenue. Because advertisers dont want to bid that much on a site with low EAT. Health is very difficult. If the site does badly then it is the niche that is at fault.

Backing up claims with scientific articles is generally a must. Just take a look at competitors.
 
I heard that if you don't have an MD or relevant degree on health care, than anything your write on health niche won't be accepted by Google.

Yes I was wondering about this. Sounds pretty extreme, but I guess I can only keep trying.
 
Need high quality content and ensure you don't use copyrighted images.

Thanks. HQ content I think is not a problem, I am not purchasing it I write it myself and research everything thoroughly. Not using copyrighted images will be the hard part. Right now I just google image search for my images. But I have an idea how to do it if this is important for getting approved, will just take time and a bit more $$.

I have a general website with no face on it and I ranked for a foot illness medium diff keyword within one month. I usually rank for health terms pretty fast with no issues, but I do propper keyword research and that`s why probably I rank easier, keywords lack competitivity.
 
Whatever it is going to take to tread the road of success cannot be less than integrity, courage, discipline and perseverance.
Yes every challenges has a lesson for experience to manage your success, continue solving the puzzles and cross the barriers. A seconds in your success land will pay for your years of moving that direction.
