Then slowly start building backlinks.
Be ready to spend $50k on it (or even more - depends on keyword difficulty).

At first Rank for low competitive keywords. Then when you grow authority, Then target high competitive keywords on similar topics. Best of luck.

Exactly!!!. @Smeklinis Creating authority with low competitive keywords is also a great option. For the first time. Then you have options for diving the big fish.

Find a Long Tail Keyword with low difficulty and decent volume. Add a question in your article/blog with one word out of the long tail keyword in it. In the answer add another word in order out of the long tail keyword. Add the whole long tail keyword naturally throughout the post.
Focus on the meta description now, when you search a long tail keyword in google the majority of results have the keyword or the keyword spread out in different areas in the meta description. So add naturally the keyword in the meta description.

Make them look as natural as possible with the content, use keywords in anchor texts when it's sending them to exactly what there looking for. I would go and read a few blogs, look at all the links and anchor texts, and where they go to figure out your best action.
