different links for multiple submissions?

hey roomies!

I admit I'm learning so if I ask a dumb question, don't be too hard on me!

here's my question let's say I write multiple articles to
articlebase (as an example) and I have one site that
I'm writing the articles about(whatever the niche is)

since it's the same domain I'm proving a link to, will I get banned
or is there a smarter way to accomplish the same feat?

(I realize the idea is not just to articles to one article directory
but I'm trying to understand how an "ezine" or a"articlebase"
or other similar directories handles this?)
