Different follower numbers in mobile and web

I came to know that there was an instagram purge last night and many people lost thousands and millions of followers. It is painful see the numbers drop down like that. I just lost around 150 but my instagram web version and mobile version shows different numbers.

Does it happen to anyone else?

Yes. It is shocking and I hope IG will fix it. it is only confusing why, for example - "my instagram web is showing before loss number and my mobile version is showing after loss number"
