Hello guys, I'm trying to check my websites rank, but every websites told me different results.
I tried serprobot, whatsmyserp, seoreviewtools, etc. but every time the position it's not accurate. Some told me "not in top 100", some "position 20", some "position 1".
With my local IP (same language as websites) I find result in position 1.
How can I know my ranking if this tools are unaccurate?

Those are massive differences.

Are you sure your settings are the same?

For example mobile and desktop is common difference, also country. Default is usually .com.

Your best is to use VPN + new browser install and manually check.

Yes, same settings for all tools. Usually I check with the local google (.it/.fr/.de etc.) and mobile.

Just tried 3 kws with smallseotools, mobile and local google
Position: 2,3,2
Tried with serprobot, mobile and local google
Position: not in top 100, 3, not in top 100 LOL

It's not looking good for SerpRobot.

One position difference with others is fine.

Maybe there is Google dance and the tracker are not correctly updated?
I don't know, now I will try with a VPN and a fresh browser

It is possible the results are not in real time, yes.

I personally have good experience with SerpFox.

That's a huge difference; check your ranking on reliable SEO tools like Ahrefs or Semrush.

Manually search keywords on the Google search to see where you rank using incognito. Add `&pws=0` to the end of your Google search URL to disable personalized search results. This will show you the results that are general to the public.

Also with fresh IP and fresh browser in incognito mode can be good?

It's great that you're testing multiple tools, try using incognito mode or a reliable VPN to check unbiased rankings across locations!

Freshing IP is a good idea; simply using incognito mode doesn't hide IP addresses from websites and Google. They could still track your activities. Using a fresh browser could reduce the biased results.

Are you changing the IP with the help of a VPN?

Nope, my main websites are in my currently languages, so I only have to change my ip

Are you testing this for a less-known GEO/language by any chance?
Each of the SERP checkers will have its own way of checking the SERPs, mainly it's based on IP GEO, google TLD, device & search language,
Many won't be getting IPs for every country for example, they'll use different country IP, which will result in different SERPs, that's mostly the main cause,
Just use a VPN with incognito mode in such case, you'll get the most accurate & sure results by this

I’ve also noticed different results with various SERP trackers, though not a huge variation. In your case, it seems unbelievable. Perhaps you didn’t check it thoroughly or there might be changes in the settings. Keyword.com works well for us.

Why not check manually on Google for desired keyword and confirm which tool is more accurate ?

Its not just about the tool but the location you set it to as well as the actual physical location where the search occurs. Its very difficult to get the exact same results as they all use different methods, Ip addresses and locations.

I suggest you check your rankings with ahrefs and semrush, because those are far more reliable tools. There is a huge difference in your rankings so there is a possibility that you're doing something wrong.

Rank checker tools often show different results because they rely on different proxies, data centers, or update frequencies, and rankings can vary by location and search history. The most accurate way to check your ranking is to use Google Search Console or manually check in an incognito browser with the location set to your target audience's region. For a more localized and reliable tool, try BrightLocal or tools that let you set specific locations and languages

Use different VPNs and new browser. Remember about region and language settings
