Hello, it happens to me that when I write an article in a parasite, it indexes within a few hours, but in terms of ranking, I get the impression that it takes maybe a few days to rank specifically.
Is there a time difference between indexing and ranking?
Obviously in the medium and long term, yes, because many factors may vary or that the competition rises, but my question is whether it is possible that in the short term, it indexes first, but still does not rank to the corresponding positions.

index means to join the game
rank need to compete with others to win the rank
Yes, of course, but what happens to me is that sometimes I index, but after 1-2 days without doing anything, I go up the ranking (only when I first create my article, then if I go up or down depends on a thousand factors)

Indexing and ranking are two different things. A page cannot rank unless it is indexed.
That a page is indexed doesn't mean it is ranking).

Ranking means taking a certain position on the SERP when keywords for which a page is optimized for is being searched.

Some positions are utterly useless. Ranking for positions 30 and above are almost useless unless of course for the purpose of tracking search improvements.
