Difference between smartlinks and CPA

Can someone gently describe me difference between these two? I used to work with cpa (classic ogads landing pages). I had a 1 usd domain placed on ig bio which autoredirects to weebly landing page and from that user clicks and get to ogads preaproved landing pages. I wonder whats the difference between this and smartlink? And what would be better to use in a method i described? Stay with ogads landing pages or use smartlinks and how to place them? Thanks

In short, a SmartLink is a SINGLE URL that an affiliate can send visitors to.

Smartlinks basically redirects your user to different landing pages depending on data that you grab from them. Ideally, they're redirected to a landing page more suited for them than another. But the quality of the smartlink depends on :
- the offer database behind
- which user data is collected and matched with which database
- the algorithm that does the link between the two

All those things are on server side and you cannot really check.

I know. I'm mocking the concepts gurus make up, not him.

Thank you for your answers so basically if i want to start using smartlinks the step with weebly is the same but when they click on the button on weebly they will go on my domain (example.com) and on this domain will be domain forwarding where i put the smartlink? Is that correct? I still cant skip the part with weebly

It's a great solution, especially if you can't target GEOs and devices yourself. Let's say you have traffic from shoutouts, stories, social media in general (not paid traffic where you can choose these options yourself). So this way you will monetize all the people you may forget to reach with traditional campaigns for tier1 only.

You can use your pre-lander, but it's not necessary. Let's say you're promoting sweepstakes smartlink, you can create a general niche landing page - Giveaway of the day, spin the lucky wheel to win a prize of the day or so... Same applies for the adult dating niche, let's say you use a prelander for "check the hottest selfies" niche and once the visitor will click on it the smartlink you're promoting will automatically pick the top performing adult dating offer for your visitor. There are a lot of things you can do, I'm just trying to give a brief explanation
