Are they the same?

I am currently using OnlyWire, but its success rate is really poor because the failure to support decaptcher

what about PingFM?

Ping FM is more of a microblogging platform, for me works much better than bookimarking to get things indexed. Once you go through the initial account setup/linking it is easy to use, or integrate into a wp blog with the shorten2ping plugin.

Just be careful using API key of Ping.fm. My API suspended.
