Facebook uses an ad auction to determine the most relevant ad to show to an individual at a given time. Winning ads deliver maximum results for people and businesses alike. When you understand the ad auction, you can understand the effectiveness of your advertising. ( That means when you don't know your customer base yet, you can advertise with a small budget and when things get good results you can increase your spending budget. (

Booking gives you the ability to plan and book awareness and engagement campaigns at a fixed cost per impression (CPM) and predict delivery about the number of people reached and advertising frequency so you can determine the approximate amount you need to pay before placing a campaign. ( And what this means is that once you know your customer base and you can set a big budget from the beginning for that advertising )

These two forms are distinguished and compared very clearly in articles on Google, you can read them. After understanding these two terms, you will choose the form that is suitable for your business.

Search "Facebook Ads Bidding" There will be a lot of documents for you

While it provides better control over ad exposure, it requires higher budgets and is less flexible than auction buying. Choosing the right buying type depends on your campaign goals—use Auction for performance-based ads and Reservation for guaranteed reach and brand awareness.

Auction buying on FB Ads is when you bid against other advertisers in real-time to show your ads, and the system decides the winner based on bid, ad quality, and relevance. It’s flexible, lets you control budget, and works for most campaigns. Reservation buying, on the other hand, is more like booking ad placements in advance at a fixed price, usually for reach and frequency campaigns, so you get more predictable results but less flexibility.

Auction buying is real-time bidding where you compete for ad placements, while reservation buying lets you secure fixed placements at a set price.

Reservation is like pre-booking ad space at a fixed price, usually for guaranteed impressions. Auction = flexible but competitive, Reservation = stable but less control. Hope that helps

You can search for its differences on Facebook ad or Gg articles where they write in great detail about the differences You can choose a form that suits your policy

Although it offers more control over ad exposure, it is less flexible than auction buying and necessitates larger spending.

Your campaign goals will determine which buying type is best; for performance-based advertisements, use Auction; for reach and brand recognition, use Reservation.

Auction Buying is being used more by advertisers, because Facebook will base on your bid, estimated action rate and a few other factors to see if your ad is displayed in a priority position, but I see that this ad is currently overlapping the auction quite a lot. When there are too many people participating in the auction, you should switch to Reservation Buying, it will be less overlapping the auction.
