I'm building a niche SEO site targeting a local keyword with an Adwords CPC of $33.79. There are 18 advertisers for this keyword.

Is there a way to figure out what the Adsense CPC would be for a keyword like this? Like a formula or something or just some insights?

It would be nice to be able to roughly calculate this number before spending time on an Adsense site that ends up making no cash because the CPC was really nothing close to the Adwords CPC.

Thanks in advance.

well, depending on the following factors:
- ad quality/relevance
- age of your adsense account
- conversions
you can be anywhere between 50c and 4-5USD (I am working on the credit repair niche, should be similar).

Of the above, I would be worried with the conversions - many advertisers report back to google if the click converted - if not, your chance of getting those ads or good payouts decreases very quickly.

I don't think you can get any formula to calculate it.
Did you get that value by actively bidding on the keyword or from the projection tools?

Projection tools, specifically it's the number from Market Samurai
