So I'm ranking #4 for a CPA keyword and making around $2 - $5 per day with it without doing much work.

How much more difference would it make moving up to #2 for example? Would it make much of a difference or not? Not sure how to rank any further..What can I do to increase my rankings from #4 to #1?

I remember reading somewhere some years ago that #1 spot gets like 40-50% of total searches, #2 20% and so on. It varies of course from niche to niche, whether the SERP has ads, images, etc.

Of course it will have a big impact moving from #4 to #2.

how hard it was to rank it?

Took me around $100 to rank the main site as well as some parasite pages to the 1st page.

I've dominated the last few results I. e. #4 #5 #6 and #9

Just news to break into #1 and #2 positions

Why are the top 3 pages above you?

Do they have better content? better website? more links? Better on page?

They are doing something better than you, work out what it is and fix the problem.

Moving up will definitely increase views, however with the prevalence of Adwords infecting the top 1-4 positions on search pages now I am not sure that #1 position is as valuable as it was years ago. Still, with every higher position will come higher CTs.

That makes sense for most online or local businesses where adword targeting is the norm but for a CPA game hack niche, a #1 ranking is lucrative since there's no ads.

I can't think of anything other than domain age. #1 is a 20 year old domain and the content inside it is spam. Literally just keyword stuffed with tags for the keyword.

#2 is a YouTube video. I can't check the back links because I use moz toolbar and it shows up as no backlinks which I'm guessing is BS

#3 is a website for the game but doesn't Target the hack keyword
