I never made more than a few grand off this POS site and now today I see you have to have a cl account WITH phone verification for posting in casual encounters?? Is that something they did coz of my IP or is that all over?
I have better ways to spend my time.

CL now(from some time) needs phone verified accounts for that section in big cities.
if you are posting in small cities then also getting this then the problem is with your ip.
 
I noticed that a while back when posting.

CL sucks ass IMO. I use backpage for a reason!
 
Well, looks like they probably banned my ip. fukkers. and i just dumped my netzero. off to starbucks i guess...lol
 
Yep, that is the case. There are a some pretty good threads about this kinda stuff in the CL section (my home ;)).

Basically your IP has been "soft-blocked" by CL.
This means that you will need a PVA (Phone Verified Account) to post from said IP.
Occasionally if too many IPs from the same IP range are S-Blocked than that entire range of IPs will require PVAs.

Hopefully that helps a bit - I can likely answer similar CL questions for ya.

Really sucks when that happens, though I still(fortunately) rarely need to use my backup connection. Its a pain to get my IP changed with my ISP.
 
Does anyone have a list of cities that you do not need PVA's for ? I tried to search the forum, but didnt find any specific thread.
 
Why quit so easily tho? There are plenty of places on the web where you can by a shitload of CL phone verified accounts and you always find a proxy provider or get a private proxy with several different IP's to continue posting to your hearts content. Yes maybe for now your costs go a lil bit higher (time or money costs) but why give up on something that has earned you a couple grand already. There are people who are doing thousands a week of just CL traffic. Anyways maybe your already rollin in on the big bucks somewhere else lol.

Yes - all / none of them.

The city has nothing to do with a PVA prompt. This is only category and IP related.

Ie. You always need a PVA to post in ANY city service section. You don't need a PVA for ANY city in the personals section; as long as your IP / range is not blocked.

Time to get yourself dialup/wireless/something so you can get some fresh IPs.
 
Don't give up this will happen all the time. As time goes on you will learn whats what and fixing a problem like this will become 2nd nature. It's a cat and mouse game and it changes daily.
 
I am from outside of US if I buy PVA then do I need US IP to post using PVA? During second time posting by same PVA do I need that same IP to post?

yes you need US ip.you can use the same ip over and over again if your ads are not flagged multiple times.
 
I have no problems posting in big cities casual encounters w/o PVA's. PVA's are only required when you try to post too far from your ip of origin. I can post up to about 1,400 miles from my home w/o any problems. I just change my mac address and ip every 5 or so ads with my router. To make sure things didn't just suddenly change, I just successfully posted in nsa in NYC which is about 1,200 miles from me.
 
CL has become to big. I started using other site like wantedwants, usfree ads, and kijiji.
 
i'm in the US and in a big city (mountain view, ca) and have no problem posting w/o a PVA.. like others said, if you're outside the US, it could be a problem.
