Today, got this email, manual spam action has been lifted.

Of course the traffic rise

There are statistical glitches in everything, including 1 in 76,211 reconsideration requests being approved

OP's website may have been unfairly penalised (possibly due to negative SEO), although we won't know the whole story unless OP tells us.

I have done heavy changes and removed stuff I believe unpleasant in the eye of google..

3 times.... the last one took 3 weeks to get this response..

I have had it work as well. I bought an aged domain with barely any links and a nice name and started making a website on it. But it just wouldn't index. Turned out it had manual spam penalty on it. Requested reconsideration and said it the way it was. 2 days later it was revoked.

Don't know why but I only had success with reconsideration when local business websites were involved. For larger general websites never received a single response back...

It would help if you detailed what you were penalized for and what you have done to get it revoked. And yes, congrats for being successful.

I wrote a guide on how to get a manual penalty removed, for me it is a 100% success rate (had 8 sites penalized, got all revoked by now)

I read it and while I've never received a penalty, it seems like a good guide for people who are worried about their request being rejected.

Then stop posting on Black Hat World and work on the SEO for your website (or stay here, read, and learn it if you don't know how to do it).
