Did youtube updated again their views system? it seems like

A mass-protest is beginning to move against Youtube, we are tired of patience, we do not have patience anymore, we want our views. Come to the Partner Forum and see, they'd better give our views now or video creators will mass-stop using Youtube.
We didn't want to do that but they've crossed every reasonable limit.

We should isntead do a mass protext against Cosmic Panda, it will totaly ruin the whole youtube experience, and will also get the most relative features removed, like auto play on channel, and channel views.

What I Know:
Issue is related not only to views count, but also to search algorithm and suggested video. New futures are added in Cosmic Panda like star rating, etc.
This mean its change whole script, and IMHO (as a developer) they use two different scripts for Panda Test users and normal users.
So its like a switch from one algorithm to another and this probably its also a issue with database (they all say views are counted but not updated) what means its used another database or tracking script.
This what happens in one day (12.07?) was switch back, and views was counted normal.
IMHO they just testing new script on live environment, but keep a copy to have a quick switch back. Sometime you can't do this other way, specially with so big website.

It works but I do not have views when YT is frozen... :cussing:
You have them - they are just not updated, as databases are not mirrored.
If (I say IF) YT searching for a system to compromise automatics video views this is not a reason, because they frozen all (even very popular) videos.
If they would like to fight with "spam views" its so easy to setup just XX views counted daily per IP. Its straight stop all systems to work, people cant earn point, and get views. Just setup like 50 counted views per IP daily and they are gone

Plus often there is more than one person on IP,. (schools, internet cafes, libraries)
Views exchange done properly is impossible to detect.
Why you think they will display any message about not counting "this" view?
This solution is implemented in many other web software as a IP limit and its works. Of course You can add some combination like IP + browser + OS, but in general this sentence is to get ride of rumors "YT fight with spam views".
