School is a massive waste of time. Well for me it is. What do you think?

I don’t need conventional qualifications if I want to make money from the internet.

But there are positives.

School can help develop social skills.

Learning about human nature is very useful as we are social animals.

Personally, I like to practice being charming with teachers. Making them laugh and building relationships. You can get away with a lot when people trust you. Teachers turn a blind eye on me when I mess about.

You get to see all types of people in school. Popular kids and weirdos. Drama queens. Pussies. Simps. Everything!

You can also build relationships that could last a lifetime. If you find motivated friends it can really be a blessing. There’s nothing like having a friend in the trenches just like you. This is rare though. I see a lot of people in my school unmotivated and lazy.

School is good and bad. It’s not black and white for me.

Did you like school? Why did you or why did you not?

I always loved going to school. College time was also good but best was school time. No worries, just enjoyment with friends.

Currently, my work is not related to the field I studied in but it all helped in way. If I had not went that route, I had not been at current situation. Lot to cover in future and I think all past experiences help.

U mean .. Slavery? Or let's call it a 10 hours per day jail time. Everything they teach in school it's not useful, till people grow up and find out that they have to learn everything by themselves.. Not going to lie , I used to enjoy when a French teacher was explaining some shit for hours, it was useful ! It was helping me a lot.. I did go fast to sleep. It's like ASMR.

None of the people I knew from school are a part of my life now. You mostly don’t make lasting friends in school.

That being said, I enjoyed school and will probably make my kids go too.

So true...

We spend so many years together and in the end, everyone goes their own way.

I had the same feeling in the army, then that feeling was even stronger, "we will remain friends for the rest of our lives".

No man, as soon as we finished with the army, we forgot about each other, life simply did its thing.

Where would you go if someone asked me if I had a chance to go back to the old days?
My answer will be that I go back to school days because school has so many memories

Guess I'm Lucky to be still very good friends with the boys
Known them for 15+ years now

And school is awesome for social stuff, not for actual useful Business/Carrier skills

It’s inevitable in every stage of life. I thought the same about school and then college but you tend to lose people when you move to the next level. I’ve been lucky enough to have my family stick by my side so far and as far as I can tell, they’re the only people that would fit the idea of ‘permanent relationships’.

Man, I got chills... Another huge fact.

Unfortunately, we somehow realize that only when we come to some years, after 30, that the family is the only one that will always stay with us.

All friends, at least in my case, if we don’t live somewhere nearby and if we don’t see each other for that reason, our paths diverge and we see each other once a year, even that is questionable.

Going to school is the best inheritance you give to your self.

Although school is all about certificate but if you want to get to some certain level you need education.

I have not served myself but I do have an idea of what the camaraderie in the military is like. Definitely a lot stronger than the ones you’d have with your school friends.

If that kind of bond was put to the test, there’s not much to say about the rest of our relationships. Fortunately for me, I learn better from other people’s experiences than my own so it gets a bit easier when it actually happens for real. I’m nowhere near 30s.

I actually like to go to school. I meet a lot of people and make friends, one of them is my close friends. Going to school, university, we can develop soft skill. Although when you work, your company will acquire experiences. But school will give you relationship and opporturnity.

in my situation, I like going to school
I used to love a girl, she is my first deep love, I didnt love someone like that before, she is motivation for me everyday I go to school

Yes, in the army you experience sleeping, eating, spending all 24 hours in one day with the same people.

You simply become one family.

I am an emotional person and I get attached to various people very easily and if someone had told me back then that we would never see each other again, I would have laughed...

I always took my hat off to people who can react at the right time, especially when it comes to learning from the mistakes of others, I admit that it took years and years and a lot of pain and various bad situations for me to finally understand some things.

It's good for you, you're young and you have the right mindset, at least for me personally.
