I submitted my site over 2 months ago and it still hasen't been accepted. Have you had any luck? Should I submit it again?

I managed to get in twice but that was years ago, failed probably 20 other times even with "clean" sites..

Personally I think it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated, I outrank DMOZ listed sites everyday haha

I have never bothered with it since I was not accepted for 5 authority sites. My issue is to make money and i have without dmoz so I'm cool like that. Only people who care about it are people buying a domain name.

Every time that I tried, my site was accepted ;)

really? would you say you just got lucky?

I'd ballpark my success rate to be 10% or less when I used to try (I no longer do) but if I could up the success rate to like 50% that'd probably be worth it (makes it easier to resell the website later on)..

Numerous times and I did get accepted. Took forever!

I wonder if they do it on purpose to make their website seem more exclusive.... I mean how long can it take to open a web page and rate it?

Mu main site is listed. That was all I wanted. I had the backlink in G for 2-3 weeks and then it disappeared....No benefit to be there IMO...

DMOZ once accepted one of my sites. That was 5 years ago.
I have read somewhere that you could bribe DMOZ editors to get your site accepted. Don't know if you should take it seriously though.

ive never been accepted! and i'm running e-com site, niche site, forums, basically all type imaginable and not one of them has been accepted

I actually am an editor for a small game category on DMOZ.. for the above poster that asked if resubmitting would help.. No, that will create a new submission deleting your old one.

The issue with dmoz is that its a volunteer directory.. so the editors log in on their own time thus creating a massive lack of sites getting put in...

I have a site currently in the directory and the only thing it did for me was bring my PR up.

There's an issue with DMOZ currently where if you attempt to search for a newer listed website.. it doesnt show up. Thus showing in programs (traffic travis, Market samurai) that your website is not in the DMOZ directory when in fact it is.

nadah. never been accepted to their directory. :(
