He has mentioned that he wants to make payment app named X so his long term vision would be around that.

Even though I miss the old Twitter with the real OGs... I think most of them have left the platform now
The originality of the Twitter I used to know just isn’t there anymore... everything now feels bloated with AI content and comments
I wouldn’t say Elon made it worse. It feels like one of those situations where in the process of trying to attract more people to the platform, things declined in some areas but also improved a lot in others areas
For example, the idea of monetization sounds good but that might be what’s ruining X right now
Like anywhere else where the impact of AI is showing up on platforms, whatever negative things we’re seeing on X are probably happening on other platforms too
It’s just that we’re talking about Twitter right now : )

I only use twitter to view raw and real videos of some incidents that might have happened sometimes. It only takes you towards hate when you start using it often

It’s not dead, just not as culturally dominant as it used to be. It’s more fragmented, very active for certain groups, frustrating for others.

There was good money to be made there. Now it's just bots. With the new feature showing account locations, you'll find 80% of the bots come from a single country

If there weren't still money to be made there, the bots would have given up long ago
Or course there's still money to be made there as long as you tailor your money making strategy to the current climate there.

I'd say what got killed was most of the circa 2020 bots, that gave the place a false sense of robust life. So you only have to deal with the circa 2025 bots now.
