I don't watch the dude or similar content, but still, his vids get suggested to me like crazy, even if I'm not watching English content.

You can Google it. Many users across the internet report the same.

Is it algorithm manipulation or an insider move?

Lex is Anthropic's v3.22 development so it kind of makes sense if you think about it.

He is just posting long ass videos continuously, that the reason algo favor him. Plus maybe videos are good and they got high retention.

INSANE LOL

There are many content creators on the long video format side who post more frequently than Lex, and ironically, I regularly watch some of them. How is it that those creators aren't suggested to me as much? When I fall asleep listening to something on YouTube, I always wake up with a history of 3 or 4 episodes of Lex playing all night – something doesn't seem right. Even Joe Rogan didn't get pushed that much before he moved to Spotify. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but considering his guests and the agendas he advocates for, maybe there's some insider job from YouTube to promote him! I mean, at least we know for a fact that they've canceled a lot of big creators for not being "woke" or whatever, so why wouldn't they push content that aligns with their agendas?

Seems all tired of Mr. Beast. YT is looking for a new star.

Mr. Beast is for entertainment, and Lex is for political correctness. If, allegedly, they are looking for a new star, there are many other YouTubers with greater potential who are already garnering more engagement than him without being prominently featured in suggestions. If they receive just 20% of the algorithmic support he is getting, they could dominate the platform.

If a youtube channel is being recommended to you because you watch videos similar to that channel doesn't mean he is being promoted by youtube. I listen to drake, weeknd and daily I get recommended community uploaded songs of those singers in a random channel(not offiicial) with 400 to 1000 views. Doesn't mean that those channels are being promoted by youtube. It's something what only youtube knows how it decides what are we going to get recommended. Another example, I watch CS case opening videos of sparkles, I even am subscribed to him but I always get recommended videos of anomaly or ohnepixel. Ohnepixel's videos are not even his original, they are like some channel uploading his live streams.
My random guess here is, because he is trending right now in the niche you watch that's why he is getting recommended to you.

As mentioned in the original post (OP), I don't watch his content or similar content, yet he continues to be the most recommended to me. I even quickly exit after a few seconds when his videos automatically start playing, just to signal to the algorithm to stop suggesting him. Unfortunately, there's been no improvement, and believe me, I considered posting about this a few months ago, then hesitated, thinking it might just be me. However, it seems the individual is heavily promoted by the algorithm.

I do YouTube myself, and I know a lot about their algorithm, but I couldn't explain what's going on with Lex's channel.

The things you mentioned about getting uploaded songs of Drake and the Weeknd from random channels is how the algorithm is SUPPOSED to work, and it has always been like this. But with this channel, it just doesn't make sense. You can look it up on Reddit and see how many people are reporting the same thing.

I guess his topic has popularity. Maybe you should clear your watch history, if that will help.

I faced the same here. I can imagine, that there has been a lot of people from same geolocation watching his videos, leading to a higher recommendation rate from yt algorithm. After I cancelled the videos more often, they disappeared smh.
