I am writing to ask you a question about web marketing. Have you ever visited a website X and then found the advertisement of the website X on your social IG or FB? How is this possible? Does the Facebook Pixel have anything to do with it? How do websites track this data? I would like to know more about this. I await opinions from experts in advertising campaigns. Its Cookies and its been happening since ages. You are late to the party.
 
ok I thought they were cookies, but what has to be implemented on the website to get this function? is there something I need to post on the site?
 
If a website has anything implemented on it from facebook, whether it's their pixel, a like button, comment box etc. they can track you via cookies afterwards.
 
Yes, simply cookies. Yesterday I saw a post here about someone uninstalling Insta for privacy reasons. The post has a comparison list as well.
