Sent my chinese supplier $56 for a sample product. ($26 for EMS shipping; it is 1kg package)

I didn't know how to check for paypal verify status so I paid anyways

I checked after and it says "(The recipient of this payment is Non-U.S. - Verified)"

He is from China so is it possible his account is verified but just not in the US?

Should I discontinue my relationship with this supplier?

Is the shipping rate correct for EMS? ($26; 1kg package)

No its good. The account is verified. Dont worry you can always get your money back via dispute. Yes it is because his account is from china.

It just means he is verified but not from the US, which makes sense being as he is from China and all. Don't worry about it, if you paid for goods you're protected if it doesn't arrive as he would have to provide tracking info for a non-receipt.

Just relax and wait my man :)

Like others have said, sounds ok. Shipping is expensive from China, so not much you can do about that until you start ordering containers.

I agree just wait and relax. You are protected and soon you will find
out just how reputable this supplier is.

Clearly written that NON-US - Verified . Offcourse as he is from china then how he can be US Verified :) further ask from your seller to send you scan receipt of shipping receipt or tracking number. Don't worry Paypal gives 90% decision in front of buyer

Carry on with your business, he is verified in his country and yes, EMS is expensive

just wait it out. He will most likely not jeopardize a possible client for a little over $50 bucks. Listen to the others and give them a chance. If all goes well, you can increase the amount a little more at a time.

Another point to mention is most scams are not for 50 dollars. The scam prices usually
like to start out around $250ish. This makes it worth it to them. Keep up updated :)

PayPal verification is Strict only in USA and Canada. So you won't get USA verified as he is from china so u needn't worry. And the shipping cost seems just fine!

thanks for the help guys.

he gave me a legit EMS tracking number. shipped same day i sent the payment and is now in my city.

he even sent me pictures of my package/weight before shipment.

Does anyone know how much DHL would be for .5kg package?

it's verified , it's just said that the receiver is not from us.
but they have verified their account.

Guys, can i win a paypal chargeback/dispute or whatever if my paypal isn't linked to credit card?

my paypal is verified but with my savings bank account only. no credit card or debit card is attached.

also i'm looking to up my first order to $700-1000. I'm still not comfortable with my supplier yet so i was wondering what is the safest technique to do our transaction. I was thinking of sending half my money and wait until he gives me a tracking number and send the rest.

Obviously i'm new to this so any help is great.

please respond asap

thanks

sure you can win , as long as your account in a good condition (not limited) + send payment as online purchase>goods not personal not payment owed etc (you can't open dispute of personal payment except unaothorized trasaction)
I was thinking of sending half my money and wait until he gives me a tracking number and send the rest >>>>DO NOT do this
cause paypal can't protect your transaction if you send payment in partial.
just send them in one transaction , wait after few days(based on your deal with your supplier how many days will your items delivered) , if you didnt received any , open dispute
1.click details on transaction
2.open a dispute >choose items not received
3.after 7 days , if your supplier seems to scam you , escalated it to a claim.
save every conversation between you and your supplier.
DO NOT close your dispute with ANY reason(except you received the items) , cause if seller ask you to close and they promise to send the refund , you WONT get your money back , you can't open a dispute twice.
hope this helps :)

As far as I know, EMS shipping takes 7 to 12 business days. So, you will have to wait. Dhl shipping is 3 to 5 business days. I think, it would have costed you few additional bucks for dhl shipping in this case. EMS is good if you are ordering in high volume because DHL shipping increases drastically, if the quantity goes up. (the best thing is to get a quote from supplier before ordering)
