Did I just completely ruin my site? Help!

Well I have done a ton of research over the past 3 months on this site about SEO. 2 weeks ago I decided to buy GSA SER, and SENuke. Put then on my brand new VPS and got a catcha solving Software, I set everything up but I knew I was going on vacation so I didn't want to start link building. I then closed my VPS... but here is my problem, I was stupid... I thought closing the VPS would also close the programs! 2 weeks later im back from vacation and ready to start SEO! i come back and i noticed my site was on page 20, ( page 12 when I left ) I decided to take a look a ahrefs to see if anything strange had gone on.... I was so surprised to see almost 10k Backlinks! I scroll down and see this, 200 do-follow and more than 10,000 PR 1 no- follow backlinks ;(. I opened my VPS and i saw my SEO programs were still running, my site has tons of spam backlinks now, did I just ruin my site? need some help on how to get rid of those backlinks i didnt mean to build.

sorry man, but what is done is done. You might be able to recover after 6 months to a year if you put in the work. Man, you are in a tough spot.

I hope your site wasn't anything really serious.
 
You can start removing your links or building new HIGH QUALITY links, like this you will start to rank again.
If you can delete your old links directly it will be a better solution, if not, try to use disavow tool from Google.

I wouldn't use the disavow tool. That's basically telling Google what sites webmasters find spammy. You are doing the work for Google. So anyway when you set GSA or whatever tool up right you will aim it at your backlinks. Now Google knows that those GSA backlinks are spammy because you reported that kind of link with the disavow tool.
 
so my best bet now is to delete backlinks? or just keep building High Quality ones, I can start my site over, but I have a VERY good domain for a niche that will easily earn my 10k + a month. i don't want to waste this domain! how can i delete the backlinks quickly?
 
Did you buy the domain from someone? If it's a high quality domain then yeah it's going to be tricky. If you just bought it from godaddy or 1and1 or something then just scrap the domain and move your site to a new one.

I'm no SEO noob, but I think I'll let a more SEO experienced member explain what Google wants you to think the disavow tool does.
 
its an extremely high quality domain, and it will make me lots of money, but i guess i ruined it...
 
Nah man, what anchors did you use?

if your anchors are all generics your lucky, spam you exact match anchors and see how high you go.

If most links are showing up as no follow then I doubt it's effected your rankings much to be honest.

Anyways, sites tend to take a dip before they start raising when you begin link building, it's all part and parcel, I think of link building like ddosing, you hit your site with links, google protects it by trying to hide it, after time has passed it will analyse the outcome and re-evaluate your rank.

once your URL has enough links or I like to think of it as (ddosing resistance) you'll start to see less and less of a decline everytime you start building links to that page for your keyword.

Maybe I'm chatting poo poo, maybe I'm not, SEO is bullshit anyway, our guide is our worst enemy mr Matthew Cuttthroat
 
Nofollow backlinks don't bear an awful lot of relevance nowadays so to reiterate, you're in the clear.
 
it's probably the amount of back links in such a short time that got you bumped - but I'm no SEO expert either.

ahh ok thanks for this, i will build quality links from now on and see how it goes.

With that said, I'd suggest averting even the thought of pinging those links. Because at the end of the day, no one knows Google's algo inside out. It's a well known fact that nofollow backlinks bear little to no relevance, but Google's algorithm undergoes frequent permutations. So whatever you do, don't ping those links.
 
Why are you giving advice to use the Disallow tool? That is like shouting that you have spammed your site.
 
That is a funny story and just the kind of crap that happens to me, lol.

Anyway, if I was you I would just concentrate on building High Quality Links.
You should be able to get your ranking back in a short space of time.
 
10k no follow? Try to mix it and dillute it with ******** quality links like web 2.0, guest post and press release.

Do not use disavow tool... You will alert google quickly.
From now just build high quality backlinks and you should be fine but it will obviously take more time to rank your website now...That's the sad part :/
