Did I get a Virus?

Okay so I used one of those proxy websites that hides your i.p and talk about a million and one ads and pop ups. i closed it all down and since then my computer has not been able to remain silent. Its making noises like it does with you open a big program.

Wut do i do my antivirus software needs to be renewed and i got no money.
I downloaded a trail of Kaspersky antivirus software and its scanning now.

Any one know what happen and are those proxy website dangerous to go to?

If any of you have virus problems go with Kaspersky.

Only use directly accessed proxies, not those found on sites. Better yet; get private proxies.

It's probably not really a "virus", but some of that adware kindly provided by BHW's PPI marketers. ^^

I am using avg at the moment which is free, and it does me quite well, it warns me of sites which could be threatening before I go into them, so if I go in and get a virus then it's my own fault. But all in all it's good especially if you have no money.
