I've noticed with all these marketers claiming they can take over Google with Youtube videos that many of their links are no longer on top and some that were rewarded with huge thumbnails have been deduced to regular.

Anyone have any insight on this?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking about ranking YouTube videos on search results?

Yes they did. I've posted the data before I'll post it again.

------------

Based on a sample pool of 10,014 video keywords ranking on page 1, 11 months ago.....

6,782 were removed from page 1
3,101 dropped from the top 3 to positions 3-14
131 stayed in the top 3

------------

That's just a summary. And in statistics a sample size of 1000 is considered significant, so I tested more than 10xs that amount.

Based on this data, roughly 68% of video keywords were demoted/deranked/removed right off page 1 of Google.

Good, atleast some of my videos in the 131 "top 3" position. :D

Is this your own data or an industry study?
