Did a test - Premium+ makes no difference

So I've been doing some testing with impressions, likes etc on different payment methods.

What I found is there was no difference between Premium (£8 a month) vs Premium+ (£31 a month).

Nothing changed when downgrading.

What I did find is that X increased Premium+ from something like £19 a month to £31 without ever contacting the user via Chat/Email - he just increased it without telling the customer - would be interesting if people took them to court over that.

i had premium+ for 3 months and honestly didnt notice much... some posts did better, some worse, but x reach is random anyway

still... £19 to £31 with no warning is pretty bad

Pretty bad.. but we're talking Musk, so not unexpected.

I just looked through previous charges on Stripe and noticed it. It's just a random jump but I never noticed it before.

Looking at impressions again today and it's consistently what it was before I downgraded.

I still have hope for X - but not under Musk. I still have hope that somebody will buy him out and make it worth using.

After my first month blue tick plan expired, I cancelled renewal, and used X without verifications, premium+ was never my preference, it felt like repurchasing the premium service at a higher rate.

I only do it now due to subscribers.

I noticed another thing - when they banned me from the Ad Revenue, my impressions shot up.

I wonder why?...

Musk is just a wrongun, plain and simple.

The sooner he's gone, by whatever means, the better for the platform.

Adrevenue plummeted X's quality, Elon want X creators to post videos of themself doing something, teaching, or showing real life events like it's done on youtube, he downgrades the idea of paying users for tweeting random stuffs, in his best interest, it's not an honest way of earning money on X. He owns the platform for some times and won't be leaving soon, X traffics continually will go to real video contents than tweets, this could be the reason for your account's limited reach.

Well he's making a lot less from me now.

Like I say, he needs to be gone. A lot of people don't use it because he owns it. Replace him with a better human and who knows - could easily be the best platform on the Internet.

In the meantime - I just requeue Buffer and have 1000+ posts scheduled for several weeks.

What was once my main income (over £15,000 a month) is now just a bit of a fun. I could get it randomly banned and I wouldn't care too much.

I just hope it can come out from the dead in the future and earn more again.

I think the problem is that Musk runs the show nowadays after what he did when he was joking around to buy Twitter. If the Twitter board let him chicken out, he wouldn’t have owned the platform and we would kept the same Twitter engineers and teams before musk brought it.

The algorithm has been changed based on weights. Musk wants people to upload videos on twitter/X that would get the most reach, etc.

Checking again... today already has just as much as days last week with 8 hours left.... if anything... impressions has gone up!

So there we go - want more impressions? Pay braincell less.

If everybody did this, they'd accept more people into the adshare again.

the price jump without any notice is honestly more interesting than the difference in impressions thats a pretty aggressive way to handle a subscription change

I don't think that musk will give up on X even if he found someone to buy it from him.

Premium tiers rarely matter, account history does.

The only advantage I know it has which would be good in a marketing sense, is that it allows you to write long articles on X. I remember Elon had a competition running a while back to find the most shared/read/interacted original stories from people.

As someone said above - Elon won't sell X any time soon, he doesn't need to and it's his digital home.. the dude gives zero fucks and I'm all for it.

Interesting that Premium+ made basically no difference. At that price difference you’d expect to see some noticeable benefit in reach or engagement.

ok I though you where saying premium makes no difference.
Premium for me helps me with accounts brand new to be able to spam comments 20 / day when warmed up otherwise is almost impossible.

I always pay the cheap one.

Something else I've spotted.

Since Musk started removing people from Adshare for no good reason, the number of verified followers I have is dropping - while the number of overall followers isn't.

Sounds like a lot of people are deciding to cancel their Premium accounts and get out.
