Hey everyone.

Since I'm seeing a lot of people asking for, what does this or that word mean, in this post I will try to cover the most used short terms, words and their meaning.

Short terms:

  • DA = Domain authority
  • DR = Domain rating
  • PA = Page authority
  • SS = Spam score (based on moz)
  • GSC = Google search console
  • GMB = Google my business
  • GA = Google Analytics or Google Adsense
  • TF = Trust flow
  • CT = Citation Flow
  • CTR = Click-through rate
  • CPA = Cost per action
  • AI = Artificial intelligence
  • APP = Application
  • API = Application Programming Interface
  • SEO = Search Engine Optimisation
  • SEM = Search Engine Marketing
  • SMM = Social media marketing
  • SERP = Search Engine Results Page
  • BL = Backlink
  • VA = Virtual Assistant
  • JV = Joint Ventures
  • LF = Looking for
  • WTB = Want to buy
  • WTS = Want to sell
  • WTH = Want to hire
  • PVA = Phone verified account
  • ADS = Advertisements
  • AWS = Amazon Web Services
  • DM = Direct message
  • PM = Private message
  • BHW = Blackhatworld
  • DC = Discord or disconnect
  • TP = Trustpilot
  • ORM = Online Reputation Management
  • VPS = Virtual private server
  • DAU = Daily average user
  • WAU = Weekly average user
  • MAU = Monthly average user
  • FAQ = Frequently asked question
  • AMA = Ask me anything



And now the words, expressions:

  • Niche = A category or a topic your content is about
  • Expired domain = A domain that has been previously registered and used by someone, but now it's open to be registered again.
  • Mass DM = Sending messages in bulk (or just a huge amount of messages in general), into someones direct messages, for example in instagram.
  • Target Audience = People you want to make your customers/readers/viewers/listeners
  • Shadowban = When you are banned from using a service, but in a form, that you aren't officially aware or noticed about that.
  • WEB2.0 websites = Sites where you create the content by yourself
  • Host = A service provider who store your stuff on their server.
  • Proxy server = Acts as a gateway between you and the internet, you give and receive traffic through a "middleman" server.
  • Bounce rate = The percentage of visitors that leave a webpage without taking an action
  • Sitemap = A file that contains the "tree" of your website, containing links to all pages, posts.
  • Indexing = A service or method to index a link or a backlink
  • Rich snippets = Google SERP additions based on schema.org structures
  • Keyword = Words that you focus on when you create content, the words that you want to appear for in SERP or anywhere.
  • Moz = A seo, keyword tracker, backlink analyser, etc service provider
  • Semrush = A seo, keyword tracker, backlink analyser, etc service provider
  • Ahrefs = A seo, keyword tracker, backlink analyser, etc service provider
