Device for ultimate music experience?

Hello everyone. I am looking to buy a portable device which provides me with best music experience(loud and clear), sort of like an ipod. I do not know what to look for! Can anyone suggest something? Music shall be the top priority in shortlisting a device, although there are other things too that I'm looking for, so open to suggestions.

I am not understanding as to what you are fishing for?

In simple words, I'm looking for an iPod or something like that which has the loud and clear music. However there are many types of ipods and I dont know which one to buy.
